Aaron Young

Aaron made a big splash in the Backyard Ultra running scene in 2022.  He ran 53 yards as the assist at Birdies helping to break the Australian record at the time.  Aaron was also a member of the Australian team at the Satellite World Championships where he went for 48 yards he is currently on the At Large list to run at Big's this later this year.

Tim Walsh from Dead Cow Gully and Nicole Jukes from BYU Australia join the podcast to discuss and recap the Backyard Ultra year of 2022 as well as looking ahead at whats to come in 2023.

Holly Ranson

Holly Ranson recently ran 136.722 in the Goodrunnings 12hr race, breaking the Australian 12hr record.  She was one of the LOS at Hysterical Carnage Backyard Ultra when she ran 30 yards and is a confirmed starter at the Australian Backyard Masters in June.

John Yoon

John Yoon has represented Australia in the 24 hour running team twice.  He has run two Backyard Ultra's, most recently for the Australian team in the Satellite world Championships where he ran 51 yards to help Australia finish 3rd on planet Earth.

Ivo and Merijn. Breaking 100.

Ivo Steyaert & Merijn Geerts share the Backyard Ultra world record, running for 101 hours for team Belgium at the Satellite world championships.  On this podcast we discuss their remarkable achievement and a lot more.

Scott Snell the Beast Coast Trail Runner

Scott Snell was the #4 seeded runner for team USA in the 2022 Satellite Backyard Ultra World Champs.  He has won 4 Backyard Ultras and has run 60+ yards twice.  Scott also has a running blog at beastcoasttrailrunning.com . 

Kevin ’Big Kev’ Matthews

Big Kev has had a huge running year in 2022 and is about to run The Hysterical Carnage backyard ultra this weekend, just a week after running a 100 miler.  So far, Big Kev has run 7 backyard ultra's, winning one and running as the assist in two.  Check out Big Kev's website, runbkrun.com

Ryan Crawford the White Kenyan.

Ryan Crawford ran 75 yards and was the assist for the Australian team at the Satellite Backyard Ultra World Championships, helping to break the Australian record.  Ryan called in for a chat and we discussed everything from Backyard ultra's to his diet, yoga and more.
